Program Terms

• These terms are the program-specific provisions (“Terms”) for CapCut CRE[AI]TE AI Festival 2026 (“CRE[AI]TE” or the “Program”). These Terms form a binding contract between you (“you” or the “Participant”) and CapCut. Please read these Terms carefully.
• By participating in this Program, you agree to comply with these Terms as well as our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and all other policies on the Platform (collectively, the “CapCut Policies”). The CapCut Policies form part of these Terms.
• Capitalised words not defined in these Terms have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Service and/or the applicable CapCut Policies. If there is any conflict between these Terms and any CapCut Policies, including the Program materials, these Terms take priority.
• Promoters of the Program:
  • BYTEDANCE PTE LTD, whose registered address is 1 Raffles Quay, #26-10, Singapore 048583 (“CapCut”, “us”, or “we”) is the operator and promoter of this Program.

Below is a summary of the main terms of the Program. For more information please review sections 3 onwards.

What do you need to do to take part in the Rewards Program?

• Join. During the Rewards Program Period, opt in to the Rewards Program and accept the Terms via the Rewards Program page, the official CRE[AI]TE submission form, or the applicable page of the Platform.
• Engagement Action(s). You need to complete the applicable Engagement Actions for this Rewards Program to be eligible for Reward(s):

a) “Submission(s)”:

1. (i)Create and submit a high quality original video work, with AI-generated or AI-assisted content playing a central role in the final work. Creators are encouraged to use CapCut Video Studio, but it is not mandatory;
2. (ii)submit the work through the official CRE[AI]TE submission form during the Rewards Program Period;
3. (iii)choose one category only: Film, Series, Creative, or Commercial; and
4. (iv)provide all required submission information and materials, including work title, category selection, creator or team information, creative description, tool usage details, and English subtitles if the work is not in English.

What Rewards can you win?

• US$70,000 for one winner across all categories (“Grand Prix”)
• US$20,000 each for four winners, one per category (“Category Winner”)
• US$10,000 each for four honorees, one per category (“Category Honoree”)
• US$10,000 for one eligible student winner across all categories (“Student Vision Award”)
• Non-cash recognition for 20 standout submissions across all categories (“Spotlight Selections”)
• 50,000 CapCut credits and 1 year of CapCut Pro for each selected creator or team, including Cash Award winners and Spotlight Selections, subject to eligibility, availability, regional restrictions, and these Terms

Winner Determination

After the end of the Rewards Program Period:

• eligible submissions will be reviewed for eligibility, category fit, baseline quality, and compliance with these Terms;
• eligible submissions may be evaluated by the CapCut CRE[AI]TE Team and/or an international jury based on the Judging Panel criteria below;
• 10 x Cash Award winners will be selected across Program, including one Grand Prix, four Category Winners, four Category Honorees, and one Student Vision Award;
• 20 x Spotlight Selections will be selected as non-cash recognition for standout submissions across all categories;
• All selected creators will receive 50,000 CapCut credits and 1 year of CapCut Pro, subject to eligibility, availability, regional restrictions, and these Terms.

Judging Panel

Eligible submissions will be reviewed against the following criteria: human vision and intent, story or concept, craft with AI, originality and imagination, taste, sound, and overall execution. Each category may weigh these criteria differently.

Participants whose submissions receive the strongest evaluation from the CapCut CRE[AI]TE Team and/or international jury will receive Rewards depending on their final selection.

Additional Conditions

Each creator or team may receive only one recognition across Cash Awards and Spotlight Selections. If a work qualifies for both a Cash Award and a Spotlight Selection, the Cash Award will take priority. If one work qualifies for more than one Cash Award, only the highest-tier Cash Award will apply.

Rewards, Spotlight Selections, CapCut credits, CapCut Pro access, and any other benefits are subject to eligibility, availability, regional restrictions, tax requirements, anti-abuse checks, verification requirements, and these Terms.

Submission does not guarantee a Cash Award, Spotlight Selection, screening, feature, promotion, feedback, credits, Pro access, creator program access, or future opportunity.

Starter Pack, Behind-the-Scenes rewards, credits, Pro access, or any other participation benefits do not affect judging, Cash Awards, Spotlight Selections, or other recognition decisions.

• During the Rewards Program Period, you must complete the applicable Engagement Action(s):
  • as set out on the Rewards Program page or the applicable page of the Platform; and
  • before the end of the Program Period. Submissions completed after the Rewards Program Period will not be considered for Reward(s).
• Engagement Action(s) are offered at CapCut’s sole discretion.
• During the Rewards Program, you agree not to:
  • breach these Terms or CapCut Policies;
  • use multiple accounts to participate in the Rewards Program;
  • use promotional coupons or any other functionality available on the Platform to inflate or artificially influence your submission, eligibility, review outcome, or chances of winning a Reward;
  • take part in any fraudulent or dishonest activity relating to your account on the Platform or to manipulate your chances of winning a Reward, including:
    • creating or engaging a third party to create bots, fake activity, automated submissions, artificial engagement, or other fraudulent activity in connection with the Rewards Program, as determined by CapCut in its sole discretion;
    • create submissions, claims, entries, views, engagement, or other activity generated by script, mechanical, macro, bot, or any other automated means which undermine or tamper with the submission and winning process of the Rewards Program or normal functionality of the Platform; and
    • tamper with or attempt to tamper with the process or operation of the Rewards Program;
  • make any misrepresentations in respect of any illegal or criminal activity (including fraud) in connection with the Rewards Program.
• If you carry out any of the prohibited actions as listed in section 3(d) above, you will be disqualified from the Rewards Program. If applicable, all associated submissions, claims, Reward(s), credits, CapCut Pro access, Spotlight Selections, and other benefits will be void and not considered for Reward(s).

• Submission. During the Rewards Program Period, if you are invited to complete Submission(s) as the applicable Engagement Action, your Submission(s) must:
  • be original, created and owned by you, or include content that is in the public domain or that you otherwise have all rights, licenses and authorisations to use. Also, you must have all rights, licenses and authorisations necessary to all content within each Submission, including written permission from anyone appearing in the Submission;
  • be clearly visible, readable, understandable and audible;
  • have been produced in a safe and responsible manner, with regard for the physical, mental and moral wellbeing of all individuals and/or animals involved;
  • only feature individuals whose appearance, likeness, voice, or performance you have the rights and permissions to use, and comply with all applicable age, consent, and child protection laws;
  • meet the format and length requirements for the applicable CRE[AI]TE category;
  • only include recordings or depictions of prominent landmarks or locations where the necessary permits, licenses, and required permissions have been obtained to do so;
  • remain accessible for review through the official submission link or uploaded file for the duration of the Rewards Program Period and review period, and, if selected as a winner or Spotlight Selection, for a reasonable period after the Rewards Program Period as required by CapCut;
  • not violate or infringe on any music copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, moral rights, likeness rights, voice rights, and/or other rights of any person or entity;
  • not be unrelated to CRE[AI]TE, the selected category, or the purpose of this Rewards Program;
  • not be late, illegible, incomplete, bad quality, or otherwise irregular;
  • not contain material that is inappropriate, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, unlawful, or show any illicit behaviour such as taking or using drugs or soliciting funds/donations;
  • not contain material that has any profanities, weapons or any dangerous behaviour that we would consider to be unsafe to you or anyone around you, or encourages any other conduct that would violate any law as determined by us;
  • not contain any third-party intellectual property (this includes copyright works other than your own, branded clothing, logos, trademarks, products, or other branded objects) unless you have proof that all rights and clearances have been obtained (and can provide such proof to CapCut if requested);
  • not become the subject of a copyright strike, claim or takedown request; and
  • not include any paid sponsorships, undisclosed advertising, or promotional content for an existing third-party brand, unless expressly permitted under these Terms.
• Submission(s) will only be considered “received” when the entry is successfully submitted through the official CRE[AI]TE submission form or applicable page of the Platform.
• If you no longer wish to participate in the Rewards Program after you have completed Submission(s), you may withdraw your Submission during the Rewards Program Period through the applicable withdrawal process, if available, or by contacting CapCut through the applicable contact channel. Once withdrawn, your Submission will be disqualified and ineligible for the Reward(s). You may re-enter the Rewards Program by submitting a new eligible Submission during the Rewards Program Period.

• After the end of the Rewards Program Period, you may be eligible to receive Reward(s) in line with the Winner Determination.
• If the Winner Determination is based on a Judging Panel:
  • Every Participant can only receive one recognition across Cash Awards and Spotlight Selections. In case a Participant submits more than one eligible Submission, the Submission with the highest score against the Criteria will determine the ranking;
  • If there is a tie for any Reward, a tie-breaker judge will judge the tied Submission(s) from the Participant(s) using the Criteria to determine the winner(s). CapCut may not award all Reward(s) if it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible Submission(s) for that Reward. All decisions of the judges and CapCut are final and binding.
• Winner notification:
  • Winners will be notified by e-mail or through other contact information provided in the submission form, and Rewards will be distributed to each winner within 2 months after winners are confirmed, subject to eligibility verification and completion of any required documentation.
  • If any Participant cannot be contacted and confirmed as a winner, does not complete any required verification, or if any Reward is not successfully claimed, the Reward may be forfeited, and an alternative Participant may be selected in line with the Terms. We are not responsible for any unsuccessful Reward claims or any failed attempts to contact a Participant. Winners may also be announced on the Rewards Program page, CapCut channels, or the applicable page of the Platform. CapCut may select alternate winner(s) in line with the Terms.

• Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. No substitutions or cash equivalents are available. We may provide a Reward of equal or greater value.
• If the Reward is a cash award, CapCut credits, CapCut Pro access, or any other benefit, Winners must follow the directions found in their email or other notification to claim the Reward. This may include, for example, providing identity, tax, payment, banking, account, UID, or other information required to verify eligibility and process the Reward. Cash awards may be paid in USD or in the winner’s local currency, subject to applicable payment processing, tax, legal, and regional requirements.

• CapCut may collect your personal information as necessary to operate the Rewards Program, review submissions, verify eligibility, contact Participants, and process any Rewards.
• By entering the Rewards Program, each winner grants CapCut permission to use their username, profile picture, winning Submission(s) if applicable, and Reward information for promotional and marketing purposes on the Platform, CapCut channels, and related CRE[AI]TE communications, subject to these Terms.
• Any and all processing of your personal information in connection with this Rewards Program is subject to our Privacy Policy.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, CapCut (including its respective officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for, and excludes all liability (including negligence) for, any personal injury; or for any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (i) the Program; (ii) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under CapCut’s control); and (iii) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference.
• We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. We cannot exclude our liability: (i) for damages arising out of injury to body or health or death based on any acts or omissions conducted by us or conducted by our legal representative or designated agent; (ii) for fraudulent misrepresentation, intent and gross negligence; (iii) to the extent we have provided a guarantee (which must be expressly designed as such in order to be a guarantee in the legal sense); (iv) for breach of our contractual obligations under these Terms, except if our breach is due to a force majeure event; or (v) for damages arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
• In all other cases, we will only be liable for direct damages up to the amount of the foreseen or typically foreseeable damage.
• We are not responsible for any event of force majeure (including natural disasters, activities subject to the instructions of government agencies, cyberattacks, pandemic, actions taken by governments, system failure of the Platform qualifying as ‘force majeure’, actions of third parties (other than our subcontractors), which results in loss, damage or disappointment suffered by you as a result of your participation in the Program.
• Insofar as permitted by law, we will not assume any responsibility or liability for any inaccurate or failed electronic data transmission, technical faults, failed submissions nor any inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the Platform.

• These Terms form the entire terms and conditions of this Program.
• CapCut reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Program, as appropriate, including but not limited to if there is any third party interference with the Program in any way that disrupts the proper operation of the Program and/or makes it impossible to conduct the Program as CapCut reasonably anticipated.
• CapCut reserves the right to disqualify you if it has reasonable grounds to believe that you: (i) have tampered with or attempted to tamper with the process or operation of the Program; (ii) you have breached these Terms or any of the CapCut Policies; (iii) you have committed acts with the intent to harass another person or group; (iv) you have engaged in any activity not in the spirit of the Program that attempts to inappropriately manipulate your chances of earning a Reward (including baiting gifts, making promises in exchange for gifts or promising to share Rewards); (v) you have made misrepresentations or engaged in any illegal, criminal or fraudulent activity in connection with the Program; (vi) you have employed any agent or bot or automated process to participate for you.
• This Program is based on objective criteria. Other than as expressly set out in these Terms, CapCut does not make any promises or commitments about the Program or the Platform, such as the specific function of the Program, or its reliability, availability, or ability to meet your needs.
• Subject to the operation of local consumer laws, these Terms will be governed by the laws of Singapore and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singaporean courts. However, this clause shall not deprive you from benefiting from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence or from bringing any action in front of the competent courts of your country of residence.
• If there is any dispute regarding the Rewards Program or Rewards, or relating to the interpretation of these Terms or the Rewards Program, CapCut’s decision shall be final and binding on all parties.
• By entering the Rewards Program, each winner grants CapCut a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use their winning Submission(s) for marketing and promotional purposes on the Platform, CapCut channels, and related CRE[AI]TE communications for a period of six months starting from the notification of their win.
• Where required by applicable law or regulation, we may share the username and profile picture of Reward winners with anyone who sends us a valid request through the applicable contact channel. We will do so no later than thirty (30) days after the end of the Rewards Program Period, where required. By participating in the Rewards Program, you grant us consent to share this information where required by applicable law or regulation. If you object to your username and profile picture being made available in this way, please contact us through the applicable privacy or reporting channel. Please note that this information may need to be shared with relevant regulatory bodies upon request.
• If any of the terms above are found to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable, then they shall be deleted from these Terms and the remaining terms shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
